Let me tell you, the players in the affordable modern home decor game are taking it to another level these days. I popped into Target on my way home from physical therapy the other day and found some serious gems. I shared a TikTok of what I found but got curious and explored Amazon Home and Walmart. I immediately knew it was necessary to share these treasures, so here are the affordable decor picks of the week. Before we dig in, be sure to get my design tips on how to make your home look more expensive.

- Texture is trending in modern home decor, this linen-wrapped tray works perfectly on any coffee table or shelf. This one has limited stock, so check your nearest Target for availability.
- I love decorating with boxes — I store remote controls and coasters in mine. These checkered resin boxes would be great on a coffee table on their own or stacked on a few good interior design books.
- It’s not easy finding a good faux plant that looks real. I questioned this asparagus fern, but the wood planter is what did it for me. It has more of a plastic look than I prefer, but the small size helps.
- This wallpaper had me questioning how Kelly Wearstler Graffito could be $39 a roll — it’s a dupe, and it’s peel and stick wallpaper. Ya, even better.
- Target just launched its 2022 outdoor furniture and decor, and I peeped these modern outdoor hourglass tables while I was strolling through the store. However, I’m planning on using this table inside! If you’re looking for something a bit more rustic and farmhouse-like, try this faux tree stump table.
- I’ve been raving about the return of rattan and have my eye on these pencil rattan side tables. I’d like to use them as nightstands in the guest bedroom.
- Lately, I’ve been steering away from Mid-Century Modern decor, but I’m loving the simple lines of this affordable tripod gold floor lamp. Studio McGee has a similar one here.

- Burl wood is a showstopper, and it really adds warmth and texture to a room. Try this accent table (it was in stock at my local store) or this console.
