I don’t know about you, but I’m not one of those people who redecorate their home for every season. I mean, I barely got my tree up last Christmas. Gasp! I know! Is a blogger not overly prepared for the holidays? Blasphemy! But storing holiday decor for months and hauling it out once a year…I don’t have the time or space for it all. I like my home to be uncluttered with a cohesive look. Interchangeable ceramics just aren’t my bag unless they are mid-century modern vases or my vast selection of lamps (because I apparently have room for lighting). But now that my kids are getting older, they are asking me, “Mommy, why don’t we have hearts, cupids, easter eggs, and bunnies decorating our tables, windows, and doors.” Oh boy. Bad parental skills. So how do holiday home decorating without going Party City crazy?
I desperately needed a solution to this dilemma and fast. Enter Minted. A company that believes that great design thrives in the hands of independent artists. A company that curates beautiful artwork at affordable prices and has a vast holiday theme selection! My saviors! Their look is modern, fun, and playful. Tons of bold graphics. It was love at first sight.
Minted could send Cupid’s arrows to my house and spread some Valentine’s Day cheer. I just needed to figure out how to incorporate their artwork into my home. I have a few gallery walls, so I decided to start there. What better way to spread the love than to change some existing framed pieces? And in case you were wondering, Minted allows you to frame your new artwork. Ummm, yes, please! How easy peasy is that?
Right now, I love hand-lettered brush strokes and watercolors. The “Brushed With Love” by Qing Ji piece has this cute gold heart and a splash of pink (which I’ve become somewhat obsessed with as of late). It had my name written all over it. Its bold and modern look grabbed me right away. I was a smittened kitten.
The second piece I chose was “Hey Handsome” by Magdalena Earnest. It not only made me smile, but it made The Boy smile as well. When I’m not paying attention, he stands by it and just points at the print. Whadda goof! I really like the hand lettering in this piece and the gold foil makes it fancy.
So just like that, lickety-split, I had decorated for Valentine’s Day, and all it took was a few clicks of the mouse. Holiday home decorating couldn’t have been made any easier. My space was still modern, and I now had some very chic, styled art pieces with bold graphics that I think gave my wall gallery the punch it needed.
But Kyla, what if I can’t hang a gallery wall? Or maybe you just don’t want to be fully committed to a nail. Don’t crinkle your nose at me because I have just the answer for you. This Minted frame is thick enough to stand on its own. Displayed on a desk, it gives your space a nice casual feel. So for all you commitment-phobes, you have no more excuses. Get your little booties over there right now and order up a few lovely prints before Saturday. They make great gifts for friends, teachers, neighbors, boyfriends, and future prom dates.

Ok, I am taking this as a sign (literally and metaphorically!?) lol
I have been “ooooo’ing” and “ahhhh’ing” over several items on Minted’s site. ESPECIALLY the foiled photograph options. I have been debating for awhile now, and I think your post came at the right time! 🙂

I love it! Simply beautiful. And the brass lamp❤️❤️ Though my little human and cat would knock it over immediately. Or better yet, tiny human would move it to where he thinks it should be. GASP!

Brandy LeaThank you soooo much Brandy! Yes, those pesky little humans do tend to knock things over. Sometimes it gets dinged or broken. I guess that just means more shopping!
