Decorist DesignOff with Jojotastic & House Of Hipsters – Part 2

It’s an exciting day here at House Of Hipsters. Today is the big reveal of the Decorist DesignOff mood boards, and I need your help. Hold up, are you asking yourself, “What are these mood boards you speak of?” Well, if you want the full monty, you can catch the instant replay over here on this post, but if not, here’s the quick recap. But real quick, before we get started, Decorist is offering a super generous 20% off your next design project. Just use the promo code DesignOff20 when you check out.

So here’s the dealio, my girl, Jojotastic and I recently purchased new homes, and we were both jonesing for a project…mainly because we are a glutton for punishment because who in there right mind says,  “Hey I moved! Let’s get crazy”. Decorist heard the news and thought wouldn’t it be fun to have a friendly little competition and teamed us up with two of their fabulous interior designers and let you, my sweet kittens, pick which interior design board concept to move forward with…insert Weary Cat Face emoji (and yes, I had to visit the Emojipedia for that definition…and yes, there really is an emoji dictionary URL. Thank you Google.) Holy run on sentence. So I’m putting my fate into you. Well, you and Ashley Redmond my Decorist DesignOff interior designer extraordinaire. This chicky is the bomb dot com and has style for miles.

After happily agreeing to these shenanigans, I put all my trust into her with only a tiny bit of Pinspiration. But I already knew what kinda of fun I was getting myself into. Ashley and I teamed up last year and decked out the guest room in the old house; so you can only imagine how thrilled I was to learn we’d be working together again.

Wanna get into it? Let’s roll. Can I have a drum roll please…

Hang onto your hats because HERE THEY ARE…

Are you ready??????

Decorist DesignOff with House Of Hipsters and Jojotastic. Living Room Virtual Interior Design. Makeover. Eclectic Vintage and Neutral Glam.

GAAAAAAAW! Seriously, so good! I wish I would have videoed my face when I opened this email. Giddy with excitement was an understatement. I’ve named Concept 1 – Neutral Glam and Concept 2 – Eclectic Vintage. The Decorist DesignOff was on and in full effect.

Both concepts used my existing brass tables that I adore and was ecstatic over, but then I started eyeing all the remaining goodies. First, let’s talk sofas…the new to me custom furniture company that I’m pretty much cuckoo for cocoa puffs over. I mean, they have collaborated with powerhouses like Maxwell Ryan, The Everygirl, and Alison Victoria. Can I get another Weary Cat Face emoji? That little blue number in Eclectic Vintage was designed by The Everygirl, and I’m dying over it (please put that in my room…m’kay?)…blue velvet? Little brass feet? Hello lover! Sign me up.

Interior Define Sofas in the Decorist DesignOff with House Of Hipsters and Jojotastic. Living Room Virtual Interior Design. Makeover. Eclectic Vintage and Neutral Glam.

You really need to check out the Interior Define site to see the backside of the Harper sofa. If a piece of furniture could be curvy and sexy, the Harper would be singing, “Apple Bottom  jeans, Boots with the furrrrrr”. Am I right?

Let’s chat about all the other awesome that’s happening too, shall we? Can I just have all the stuff? Put it in a box. Ship it to Chicago. Call it a day.

Decorist DesignOff with House Of Hipsters and Jojotastic. Living Room Virtual Interior Design. Makeover. Eclectic Vintage and Neutral Glam.

First impressions tell me that Ashley read my design evaluation questionnaire and really had her listening ears on. Wanna know how I know? Vintage…I shop vintage. Which you’d think would be a hurdle for an online design project, but it wasn’t. I told Ashley I loved shopping South Loop Loft, and guess what, she shopped South Loop Loft online. Boom, let’s put a faux tusk and snake skin table in that room Kyla. Milo Baughman brass etagere, yep, South Loop Loft has that too…boom. Karl Springer soufflé poufs, no problemo….got chu covered. Joanna, you’re goin’ down in this Decorist DesignOff.

Ashley also likes to mix it up, so she gave me some new mixed in with those vintage treasures. That George Kovacs lamp is aaaahhhhmazing, as it that small wooden side table. And yep, that’s antique brass edging and feet that you’re spying. I’d be enjoying my morning coffee on that daily by that sucka all day, erry day. ATG Stores, you’re kinda kicking some booty and takin’ names.

The real fun begins with those pillows. I snapped up a fox fur pillow at The Randolph Flea, and Ashley paired that pretty kitty up with this guy and this guy in Neutral Glam. Hey, is it possible to mesh both of these rooms into one? Cuz I’d totally be down with that.

Phew! I’m done blabbering. What do you think? Concept 1 – Neutral Glam or Concept 2 – Eclectic Vintage? You HAVE to pick one cuz this ain’t up to me. Can you believe the fate of my room rests in your hands? I mean, both are fabulous, but this is it. Shout it from the mountains, hilltops…oh heck, your front door will do. I’m dying to know which one it will be. Comment below or on my Facebook page. Do me proud and help me beat Jojotastic. That competitive edge has kicked in. Let’s do this!

Both are gorge. I am gravitating towards board #2, but I am wondering how the 1st sofa and window treatment (or is it art?) would look in it instead? I love the relaxed feel of the first sofa and the ease of textured piece above it!

The more practical side of me says number 1, but I think number 2 is the one I would love to see come to life!

Even though I prefer the blue couch, I’m picking #1.
The second design is brass overload IMHO.

I can’t believe I’m going for the safe option, but I really like the classic pieces in #1, and the fact that you’ll have more flexibility to mix it up when the mood strikes 🙂 What fun!

Initially, I liked neutral glam but that blue velvet sofa swayed me to #2 eclectic vintage- for the win!
