As of late, I’ve been having a love affair with the color black. I’ve never had copious amounts of bold hues in my home, but you find pops of pink, green and every shade of blue if you have a look around. After creating Potty Paradise, my love for the dramatic, moody effect the color black has on a space made my heart grow three times.
Here are a few things that have either made it into my shopping cart, or I’m wishing Santa would bring me…yes, I said Santa in June, I’m sorry. But it’s only because I’m in love with a pair of Gucci shoes (no longer available) that I’m going to have to save my pennies for.
These vases (no longer available) are scattered around the house. One on my desk as a pencil holder, another on a shelf filled with florals. They’re a great sculptural piece of hard-working home decor.
If you have a looksy around the fashion blogger corner of Instagram, you’ll see Gucci everywhere. I’ve lusting been lusting over these loafers since last October. Mark my words, one day, I will own them.
The beni ourain rug has been rolled up and is now sitting in storage with all things chevron. Yes, I might be over boho, but that doesn’t mean I’m over floor flair. No sir-ee. I’m digging this rug with tassels (sold out, click for similar) Joanna Gaines, you slay babe.
I’ve been on a mission to find the perfect modern black cone shade floor lamp. Ever since returning from Paris, I’ve been digging the undone, but not undone look of French girl chic. This one is what dreams are made of, but alas, it’s from 2015. I’m two years tardy to the party. And if this one here was a floor lamp I’d be in heaven! I’m outta luck on both. The search has been extensive, but this one is in the running. Someone, anyone, please HALLLLP!
I think this white vase with the black color paint swish (no longer available) would look smashing on a shelfie paired with the vase above. It’s a bit on the expensive side, but personally, I think one is worth it.
I don’t leave the house without wearing mascara. Since I wear glasses all day erry day, that extra oomph helps my eyes pop behind lenses. I’ve been on the quest for one that doesn’t clump but gives volume, and I’ve been digging this one as of late. My lashes look fuller and longer.
If you follow me on Instagram, or if you read my post about my latest vintage scores, you know I’m off chairs at present time. A strict one in one out rule grounding has been enforced by The Boy. If I had my way though, these two beauties would be in my living room front and center. The leather detailing on the side of this one reminds me of pretty little daisies.
I saved the butts (no longer available) for last. I don’t know why, but I have this thing with nudes lately, and the butts are right up my alley. I think it would be fun in a bathroom. Where would you hang it? Would you buy butts? And for some reason, I’m giggling away at my computer…ha, butts.

Wow, love all the Black, always have. Concerning those shoes, I would never in a million years pay that much, haha. To each his own. I would rather have a new roof which I am saving for! We all save for something, right? Thanks.

Love how black always gives a sophisticated edge to everything. That white vase with the black stripe looks like an easy DIY.
