If you are a fan of Wayfair, then you know the Way Day sale is right around the corner. Last weekend, I popped into the Wayfair store in Chicago to check out all the fall decor trends and get prepped for up to 80% off and free shipping. Yup, it’s the sale of the year!

Try The Unexpected Red Theory
If you looked at the fall fashion trends, you saw that yummy burgundy plum color all over the runways. This wine colored cabinet stopped me in my tracks, and it is the perfect accent piece for a dining room or a living room. It’s available in this beautiful cordovan red color with gold pulls.
The post is sponsored by Wayfair. Every item was handpicked and curated by me. I may earn a commission on some of the items if you choose to buy.
However, if you are reluctant to decorate with the unexpected red theory, it comes in a glam black finish. Before reading on, please take a moment to admire that gorgeous faux marble side table. She’s a beauty!

Halloween Decor That Doesn’t Scream Halloween
I’ve never been a big Halloween decorator; however, I love these black and white decor pieces paired with the orange accents. You may remember the black and white stripe vase I purchased at the grand opening of the Wayfair Chicago store.
During this visit, I found a few coordinating vases. I would definitely say these are Boo-Ti-Fall—sorry, I couldn’t help myself.
The fall leaves really add a pop of color to your vignette and bring a touch of nature into your home. Side note: don’t listen to the fake plant haters—they don’t have to be real. Faux can be beautiful when styled properly, and if you’ve been around these parts before, you know I’m all about fake stems.

Keep It Cozy With Warm Tones
Colors that scream fall are these warm ambers, soft browns, and blush pink. These were styled front and center in the store, and if I had the room, I’d bring home one of each. The ribbed pink glass will add texture, and the wood pedestal bowls bring instant warmth. Fall decor is all about getting cozy.
These terra-cotta-style vases are beautiful organic modern pieces. I was in NY last week and walked into a luxury showroom where they styled similar vases with small LED candles, which gave them that extra je ne sais pas. I would style these three together on the floor or a lower shelf to add a subtle glow in a dark corner.

The Return Of Mid-Century Modern
Okay, did MCM leave as a trend? In my mind, I would say yes, but only for a hot minute I say that only because it was overdone for a few years. Thankfully, it didn’t burn out like Chevron. Anyhoo, Mid-Century Modern is returning with a fierce intensity, and I am here for it.
This daybed with brown leather straps is a versatile piece (perfect if you are in a small space and need an extra guest bed), and I love the brown leather straps. It has clean MCM lines, but it could also make an appearance at the polo club. Don’t you think?
A couple of additional pieces that I found that I fell in love with—this funky avocado green bar cart (the oversized wheels are chef’s kiss!) and this sleek floor lamp with a black and brass base (it’s giving Gio Ponti).
These globe lamps by Mercury Row also caught my eye, and they are available in table, floor, and pendant light options. I had a three-globe floor lamp similar to these that I gave to a friend, and I’ve always regretted it. Might have to replace it!
I also have shared these leather baskets before, and I’m sharing them again because my love for them is deep. They come as a set of two, and the brass buckle detail makes them feel super luxe. They are perfect for storing your cozy throw blankets or wrangling a stack of magazines in the living room. I personally love the brown, but they are also available in black.

A Nod To Vintage
Vintage decor is still in high demand, so if you’re looking to jazz up your table for fall but don’t have the patience to complete a full collection, these brown transferware plates and serveware from Spode are gorgeous and won’t break the bank. The pattern has that classic, nostalgic look and feel that will never go out of style and is perfect for mixing and matching if you want to get a little funky.

She’s Got Curves For Days
Curved furniture still has a chokehold on me. I love this postmodern-style chair with the chunkier back. The funky, sculptural look will add character to any space, and the bouclé fabric is a classic that will go with anything and add texture to your room.
These storage ottomans have a fun, modern organic look and feel, and as an added bonus, they are storage ottomans! I also love the deep golden ochre color, and yes, they are velvet! I am looking for a space for these in my home. They are stunners (and come as a set of two).
I purchased this curvy bentwood armchair for my living room last month, and it’s such a great addition. Side note: I was surprised by how comfortable and sturdy it was!

Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice!
This accent table is giving me all the Delia Deetz furniture vibes. Remember when her chair came to life? This drink table looks like it could just crawl away in the most awesome way. This goes back to adding funky sculptural pieces to your room decor. SO MUCH CHARACTER! Furniture like this will make your space memorable.
I’ve shared this chair before (I bought it during the last Wayfair sale), and it’s magical. Guests are drawn to it like a moth to a flame. They want to touch it and sit in it, and the best part is that they remember it.
The black and white is presently out of stock, but the red and beige stripe is hot, hot, hot!
