After sharing my 2022 interior design trends predictions, I was asked over and over, where can I find can and rattan lighting like what you shared? Ah, good question! And since my best cane furniture post is trending, I figured I should get right on that. Besides, shopping is what I do best, so today, I'm sharing my favorite rattan light[...]
Back in the day, I used to publish a home to-do list. No matter how big or small the project, it was written down on the list to hopefully be checked off. Those posts basically held me accountable and gave me a visual of what needed to get completed around the house. This year I thought, why not give it a twist, set some renovation goals[...]
Yup, I said what I said, and it's not just because my kitchen is white. White kitchens will never go out of style; they're just not trending hard like the beige and green cabinets. So if you're about to jump into a kitchen remodel and you're wondering if you should really purchase those white kitchen cabinets, I got ya! Here are 7 white[...]
It's been a hot minute since I've written a fireplace renovation update. Yes, I could blame it on being busy and the holidays, but really, my lack of enthusiasm was due to my choice of paint. That deep saturated blue-gray Farrow & Ball DeNimes paint paired with the honed limestone fireplace reminded me of prison walls or better yet,[...]

Over the last couple of years, I've participated in my friend Stephanie of Casa Watkins Living's holiday home tour, and I am thrilled to be invited again. All this week, starting today, 30 different home decor bloggers (I've linked the first 6 below - 6 new bloggers will be linked every day this week) will be opening the doors to their b[...]
Every time I see a beautiful rug in a kitchen or with a dog, I can't help but question the homeowner's sanity. Why ruin an expensive rug? I mean, we spill...a lot...especially now that my kiddos are learning to cook. Zoe dropped a pot of spaghetti sauce the other day. My son spilled melted butter all over the floor (and the dog). But I g[...]
The latest upholstery project really pushed me out of my comfort zone, especially the bold rust fabric on the vintage Alky chair. Although all that color and pattern was nerve-racking, I was so happy with how the chairs transformed the room. Keeping that same frame of mind for the modern fireplace makeover, I've decided that since this i[...]
