Decorating with vintage home decor really shows off your personality...not to mention it can be easy on the wallet. But there's a fine line between staying in the now and time-warping back to The Brady Bunch. So how do you find that trending boho slash mid-century modern look and not have Marsha screaming, "Oh! My nose!" Easy, lea[...]
In case you haven't noticed, I've been a pinning machine, and the one room that keeps kicking me into high gear is the kitchen. Do you know how many beautiful images there are of kitchens? White kitchens, dark kitchens, gray kitchens, marble countertops, stainless steel, brass pulls, butcher block, oh my. I mean seriously, if I had[...]
Last spring, I bought one of my first pieces of rattan furniture. What I like to call my entry-level step into the world of bohemian decor. Pretty soon, one rattan chair turned into two. Shortly after a side table arrived, followed by another. And after perusing Craigslist, my two chairs turned into three; only to be given the, "enough w[...]
Times up! Sound the alarm, the One Room Challenge final reveal deadline bell is ringing. Hands up. Put the decor down. Well kinda. It's the night before this post goes live, and I'm typing as fast as my little fingers can hit keys. I take that back, it's after midnight. But for all intents and purposes, this room is dunzo! Like many o[...]
It's Week 5 of the One Room Challenge, and right now, I feel like my entire life revolves around this project. Nothing else matters. I'm okay with being seven blog posts behind and staying up until midnight. It's crunch time, and next week is the final reveal. If you're new here and wondering what on Earth is this One Room Challenge[...]
Patience is not a virtue of mine. Albeit convenient, online shopping lacks immediate gratification. And when you're in a time crunch like the One Room Challenge where you pick one room to transform from hot mess to hallelujah and only have 6 weeks to do so, well, waiting a week for deliveries was probably not my smartest move. I'm now th[...]
Warning! Do not read this post unless you want to drool and swoon over the most beautiful home decor on the planet. Ever since West Elm and Kate Spade hooked up, I've wanted to see more. More chairs. More lighting. More sofas. Well, it has arrived. The Kate Spade Home Decor line was recently launched. Oh Boy! Oh Boy! Oh Boy! I'm as[...]
Confidence is building with the home office design project as I push through Week 3 of the One Room Challenge. In case you don't remember, last week, I was styling the window sill behind the vintage Chesterfield and finishing the build on my new workspace. A last-minute decision was made, throwing me off my game plan, and I chose not to[...]
Phew! Man, the past week has flown by. Radio silence has ensued (sorry about that...it's not you, it's me), but I swear I'm not sitting on the sofa eating bon-bons watching Days Of Our Lives. (Is that show even on anymore? In college was addicted to it.) Anyhoo, I've been moving around furniture, styling vignettes, giving the UPS man hug[...]
