This is a post where modern home decor meets my modern personal life. I've known the homeowners of this fabulous place for, wow, over 20 years now...girl, can you believe it's been that long? Carrie was my boss at a startup dot com back in 2000. Her style has evolved over time, and I can officially say, this home tour is hands down my fa[...]
The closet I wallpapered in the foyer was featured on Apartment Therapy and started trending again...the reviews were a mixed bag. After reading through the comments, I felt compelled to revisit How To Wallpaper 101 and the reasoning why I chose to wallpaper a closet and why it was the best idea ever! This week was incredibly exciting. The quartz countertops have been cut and are finally getting installed today! If you didn't catch the play-by-play, don't fret, it's saved to Instagram in the Kitchen Reno highlight bubble. There were a couple of sketchy moments like, how are we going to install the wet bar backsplash...oh, let's just r[...]
Ever since we moved, the design in the master bedroom just seemed off. The navy blue headboard was too high, and there was a weird inset between two storage closets where there should have been something amazing, but no matter what I popped in there, nothing screamed shazam. There was a disconnect between the old design and the new[...]
