One Room Challenge – Office Makeover

Patience is not a virtue of mine. Albeit convenient, online shopping obviously lacks immediate gratification. And when you’re in a time crunch like the One Room Challenge where you pick one room to transform from hot mess to hallelujah and only have 6 weeks to do so, well, waiting a week for deliveries was probably not my smartest move. I’m now thinking instead of napping last Sunday, I really should have driven my lazy bum to West Elm to buy blush pillows and blue vases. Instead I chose to buy them off the interwebs and sleep. Now I pay the price and pace like a caged animal. I also have to apologize up front. My lighting acted up while shooting, so you’ll have to excuse the mediocre iPhone imagery in this post. Hopefully I’ll get this snafoo repaired before next week’s shoot. Hey! One Room Challenge! You’re kicking my anxiety into over drive!

The One Room Challenge Home Office interior design makeover is in Week 4, and I've been styling vignettes.

Office Makeover Inspiration

With both bedrooms wrapping up, I have decided to keep being crazy the old ball rolling on the home makeovers. This time I’m looking at you my horrid office. It’s a hot mess of books, papers, magazines, vintage treasures, vases, lamps, random pretties I like to Instagram and then forget to put away and possibly an old sandwich. Oh ya, that wouldn’t surprise me you guys.

When Jen Harrison (aka @fleamarketfab) visited the house the other weekend, I told her, “You can’t go in there. It’s embarrassing.” Unfortunately for me, it’s where I was stashing tons of homeless knick knacks, and we had to shop the house. We had no choice to to venture in. Oy. What a mess. I hung my head in shame. Right then and there I decided this room was next, but I needed some office makeover inspiration stat.
