It has been a while since I’ve put together a music playlist (check the music category for all the playlists available), but during a late-night TikTok scrolling session, one of my favorite accounts appeared on my FYP — CyberExBoyfriend (Laura Lisbon). You may recognize him from his viral roasts of Zillow listings, but he also shares cool music and has coined the genre Millennial Mommy Blogger Music with friends — aka Mom Rock.

CyberExBoyfriend goes on to explain that Mom Rock has a specific sound. Soft, hazy music that belongs in a Sophia Coppola movie. There was a mention of Beach House, and although I vibed to them in the past, that moment is over for me. You will find HAIM. It was necessary. I be bumpin’ that. He’s spot on to say Mom Rock is a cultural institution and demands we give it the respect it deserves. This blogger, who is also a mom, says hell ya! And as a thank you, here is my Ode To CyberExBoyfriend – a Mom Rock Spotify music playlist. Side note if you’ve ever been in my car then you’ve probably heard at least one of these songs if not all.

You’re gonna get a bit of everything in this mom rock music playlist, and be warned, there are 87 tracks, so strap in for a full day of my personal Mom Rock favorites (and be careful of little ears because, ya, some of the lyrics are explicit).
