A few months ago, I stumbled across the company Coco Carpets. See, I was on Pinterest late one night (no surprise there) and this a-mazing boucherouite Moroccan rug stopped me in my tracks. Now, if you’ve been watching my Instagram, you’ll know I’ve been pining away for the perfect rug. It’s become a thing. At one point I had 3 rugs I didn’t like in the basement storage room and The Boy said if I brought a new rug home, an old one had to leave the nest. ERMERGERD! Who says this kind of things! What sort of monster are you?
Well, throwing caution to the wind, I immediately looked up their URL but there was only a coming soon message and a field to add my email to a notification list. Darn it! This rug was the bomb diggetty in my home. Waiting list it is.
Fast forward a few long months. Checking back to see if the site was up, stalking their Facebook page. Hello, my name is Kyla and yes, I may have a rug problem. This is funny because up until a year ago I was totally against rugs in the house. Go figure. Anyhoo, I finally got the email! HOORAY! They were open for business.
Coco Carpet rugs are all vintage…about 20-30 years old and would have originally been made by a Berber woman and used in her home. Each rug is one of a kind and made from wool and small portions of cotton thread.
I love the bright colors on the cream backdrops. Pinks, reds, teal, blues, and orange. All in these beautiful organic patterns. I would have pulled the trigger, but alas, the rug I was in search of had to be at least 9″ X 12″. I was so sad. But Little Maus is getting a room makeover soon, as is the guest bedroom. I might just have to make it happen. Doctor Evil (AKA Little Pinky) keeps whispering buy me in my ear. Check them out if you’re in the market for a unique, one-of-a-kind rug that will make your home decor memorable. It’s worth the investment and will last for years to come.

Oh my! These rugs though! I too share your rug problem. I used to think rugs were seriously icky and then one day it was like all these lovely textiles started materializing and now I’m just overwhelmed. I think I experience rug FOMO at least once a day. I’m too nervous to commit to a rug for a fear that a better one might come along! Is it time to start a local chapter of Rug Lovers Anonymous?

Lauren @ FOXTAIL + MOSSYou and I girl, we are rug soul mates. I too have been afraid to pull the trigger in case a better one comes along. I’ve also been known to pick them up at an estate sale, bring them home and hate them. They are finicky little buggers.

Ronja LotteI know! I love that one so much as well! I think it’s the bright pink that draws me in. I was bummed when I learned it sold mins after I posted. Sad face! But I’m told new inventory is arriving soon!

Ronja LotteSadly, I’m not the new owner. Someone else bought it. I so wish it was me!

What fantastic rugs! I look the vintage feel. I am always looking for eye-catching throw rugs to cover these chilly hardwood floors.
