OMG! OMG! OMG! I’m totally geeking out! In fact, you could say I’m a giddy little school girl jumping up and down with glee. My pipe shelf photo was one of the 14 chosen in the #MYDOMAINE Instagram Challenge! All participants were asked to show off their proudest organization moment. To be included[...]
After my dear friend Laura and I restyled a desk, we decided to do it again, but this time Summer from Simple Stylings joined in the fun! A while back, Laura wrote a post about *needing* to own a lake house because she had too many mugs…I said I’d move in as well since I had too many chairs (I like to save them). Anyhoo, Laura[...]
Sometimes people walk through my home and say, "OMG, where on earth do you find all this stuff?", and I never really seem to have a good answer. My response is usually, "All over I guess, you just have to have patience to find unique items." Recently a friend of mine was explaining to me her way of designing a room. She goes to one st[...]
So, I've decided to start a series called, "How I Make Emily Henderson Cry". If that name is completely irrelevant to you, just know she is my girl crush an HGTV star who I idolize. If you read my to-do list, you know that there are many areas in my home that aren't perfect. Yes, there are nooks of perfection, but there are also&nbs[...]

In fact, a large part of me wanted to take a sledgehammer to it. But rath[...]
So I need your help — like I really need help. My foyer is finally no longer a merry-go-round of random tables, chairs, trunks, and shelving. Yeah me! That in itself is winning. This has been a long 3-year process to finally get it where I feel satisfied with the look and feel. I really liked the idea of shelving in this space, but wit[...]

Sometimes people ask me, “Hey, how would you define your decorating style?” and I usually just ramble or stumble upon my words. It’s hard to describe what my style is. It’s an eclectic, vintage, classic, mid-century modern, industrial, with a dash of mantiques…but really, it is hard to explain. I’d recognize it if I saw it at[...]
