DIY Photobooth Backdrop

Hello! Hello you guys! It’s day three of the Wildwood Speakeasy New Year’s Eve theme party! Are you excited? I know I am. Whoohoo! Seriously you guys, y’all are watching this unfold and come together just as we are. It’s so exciting to see something you’ve kinda just dreamed up in your head become more then just a pretty picture. It’s our little Alt Summit baby! Someone HAS to throw this party. It’s the B.O.M.B.!!! And it’s just as Laura described it a couple months ago as my tired eyes were trying not to close while Google chatting. A bunch of rich kids drinking glam-slash-hipster-style in the woods. It’s a little luxe. It’s a little hipster. It’s a little rustic. And a whole lotta exclusive. Are you guys ready for a DIY photo booth backdrop? Everyone, in case you’ve missed her (Seriously, not sure how you could, she’s gorgeous!) meet Grace from The Big Reveal!

Poor Liza Cocktail Recipe

Welcome back to Day 2 of the Wildwood Speakeasy New Year’s Eve party! How did you guys do on that Vintage Floral Inspired Centerpiece Laura from Avery Street Design created? It was seriously breathtaking! I can’t wait to make one of my own. So lovely and whimsical. Tomorrow Grace from The Big Reveal is up, but first, I’m going to show you how to make a little signature cocktail for this shindig. Here is the Poor Liza Cocktail Recipe.

On January 16, 1920, the 18th Amendment passed. Otherwise known as Prohibition. Did they really think people would stop drinking? BAHAHAHA…ya, no. Potions were mixed combining spirits, juices, syrups and a couple dashes of this or that. People found innovative ways to consume alcohol and speakeasys started popping up everywhere. Secret places, anywhere from basements to abandoned buildings had back entrances, secret passwords, special knocks and membership cards. Booze was limited and bartenders created cocktail recipes that have stood the test of time. Clearly they took their potions seriously.

Wildwood Speakeasy New Year’s Party

Today my blogger besties over at Avery Street Design and The Big Reveal bring you the Wildwood Speakeasy New Year’s Eve theme party tailored just for you! That’s right, today and every day for the rest of the week, we are going to give you everything you need to make this theme party happen in your home. Free invitations to download, home decor, backdrops for a photobooths, specialty cocktail recipes, EVERYTHING! The key is, you have to visit all 3 blogs to get everything you need. One of us will have the post while the other two will post the feature photo and direct you to whoever is posting that day. Am I even making sense? OK, let’s make this easy, just stop back here every day, and I’ll direct you like one of those dudes at the airport with the fancy orange sticks, as to whose blog you want to visit for the deets that particular day.

So what is the Wildwood Speakeasy? Here’s a little background. A couple months ago, Laura and Grace asked me to join them on a quest. A quest to win free tickets to the Alt Summit blogger conference in Salt Lake City. We created a mood board for an uber cool mini party. Long story short, we didn’t win (however, we are still going…yep, that’s right, so exciting!), but we really wanted to follow through on our concept, and we wanted to share it with you, our sweet readers.

Found & Foraged Linky Party #4 EARLY!

Found and Foraged Linky Party

No, this isn’t Groundhogs Day. We know. We know. It’s not Saturday. It’s Friday. Last week we received an email from the company who sets up the linky parties and unfortunately for us, they decided to do server updates right when I party normally starts. We didn’t want to disappoint anyone, so we made the executive decision to take the party live tonight…one week only.

Anyhoo, enough formalities. Welcome to the Found & Foraged Linky Party. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! We are thrilled to have you back and can’t wait to see what you have been working on this week. Last week was a bit quiet at Found & Foraged, but we hope it’s because y’all were still in your food comas. Link up your DIY’s, house projects, vintage finds, shopping scores, upcycled projects, foraged decor, recipes…whatever you have been working on!

We will be hosting this linky party every Saturday at 8PM (Central Time). This week is just a fluke. So be sure to add us to your calendar and check back weekly to party with us!
