Found & Foraged Linky Party #28

Welcome to the Found & Foraged Saturday night linky party. I’ve returned from my vacation and am slowly getting back into the swing of things. So where did I go? What did I do? If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you probably figured it out, but if not, I’ve been in Germany for the past 2 weeks visiting The Boy’s family.

He had to go to Munich for work, so we all hopped on a plane to join him. Thanks to The Boy’s parents, we had a brief getaway alone in Munich which was so amazing. We returned to his parents’ home in The Pfalz and later had a family reunion at his Oma Loni’s. Phew! The entire trip was fabulous, and I’m working on a post to share with you.

How have you been? What have you been up to? I enjoyed seeing all the awesome projects from a couple weeks a ago. Absolutely amazing you guys. Tonight I’m featuring a few of my favorites including a few Mid-Century Modern makeovers, a new fashion blog from an old friend, and a super cool modern hexagon planter DIY.  Give them all a visit and a comment.

Found & Foraged Linky Party #24

Hello! Hello you guys! It’s Saturday night which must mean only one thing…Found & Foraged Linky Party time! I think we need to theme this linky party, “lick the screen” because you guys, the recipes that were lick the screen were out of this world, knock your socks off fantastic! From slow cooker chocolate lava cake to Oreo cookie ice cream cake to chocolate donuts. Man, I think I gained 10 lbs from just reading all of them.

How was your week? Did you guys do anything fantastic? I think I need to live vicariously through you because I didn’t do much really. I managed to accidentally take down my entire website by accident last Wednesday. That was not awesome. There was a lot of tears and swearing. I also made a fun list of 12 Mother’s Day gift ideas and posted My Morning Coffee Ritual. And in case any of you are coffee crazy, you really need to try Lodge Coffee Roasters online shop use promo code HOH. My good friend just started his online shop, so if you wind up placing an order, use the promo code HOH for 15% off. And I’m not getting paid for that, I just like it A LOT! Plus, I went to high school with him.

Found & Foraged Linky Party #23

Welcome to the Found & Foraged Linky Party! How’ve you been? Did you have a good week? For me it was a whirlwind you guys! The Boy was traveling, my parents were in town helping me and Jen Harrison aka @fleamarketfab just arrived from Ohio to help me finish the master bedroom. And let me tell you, we have been shopping up a storm! The room is looking absolutely spectacular.

Because I don’t have enough on my plate, I decided to jump into another room makeover head first. This time it’s my guest bedroom and I’m working with Decorist. Have you heard of them? I’m sharing my entire experience, start to finish, with you. I just posted Part 1 last Thursday of the 2 general mood boards. Can you guess which one I picked? I can’t wait to see the board with all the details. You know, the fun stuff like rugs and vases and artwork and pillows (that I don’t have to match myself).

Found & Foraged Linky Party #22

Happy Saturday you guys! During the last Found & Foraged party, I mentioned that I had kinda fallen behind, but I didn’t fully explain. Not only did I have family in town for the holiday, I had been prepping for some really fun and exciting projects that finally came to fruition last Tuesday. For all my fellow bloggers reading this, you know how every once in a while you have one of those amazing blog days. That day for me was last Tuesday. It doesn’t happen often, so I cherished it!

I published my latest I Make Emily Henderson Cry, and thanks to a little birdy…eh hem, I’m lookin’ at you Gilly =) …the REAL Emily Henderson wrote on my Facebook post. Literally, it was 6AM, and I about to head out to the grocery store. (Because is there a better time to pick up deli meats and avocados?) Anyhoo, I was scrolling through my phone and there she was! My eyes popped out of my head like a cartoon character, and I started to jump up and down like a banshee in the kitchen. The Boy looked at me like I was insane and completely off my rocker. I tried to speak, but the words wouldn’t form. I finally just threw my phone at him and managed to say, “LOOOOOOOOK!!!”

Also that morning, Chairish blogged a little interview about me and the Instagram Sales I’m completely addicted to. Not only am I doling out tips and tricks on how to snag the items you want, but I’m also sharing how I’ve styled the items I’ve purchased. The next one will be hosted by another one of my favorite bloggers, Waiting On Martha. She took Chairish thru the Scott Antique Market to find 25 amazing items that will go up for sale on Instagram Sunday, April 12th 9AM PT.

An to really top Tuesday off, I was filming with WGN TV (Chicago TV station) for a couple home hack segments that will appear soon on Weekend Workbench! Which reminds me, I owe an email to Ashley. Phew! That was everything I think.

Found & Foraged Linky Party #21

Woah you guys. I have never ever missed a post until last Wednesday. I felt sooooo guilty! And kinda like a slacker, but I just plain old fell behind. I caught Little Maus’ cold, had family in town, and was on deadline at work. Life just got a bit cuckoo. You probably didn’t even noticed, but if you did, I hope you forgive me.

So, I said I had family in town this week for Spring Break. I gotta tell ya, it was crazy but so much fun. The Boy’s sister’s family came to stay with us, which meant we had five kiddos under the age of 6 in the house! Yep, it was insane, and it was loud, and it was a blast. The cousins don’t get to see each other very often because they live in Charlotte, NC. The 3 eldest had sleepovers every night in the basement, and I hope they remember that time together as they get older. The second night we had a minor incident with gum at 9PM. The 6 year old ratted out her brother and my son (thank goodness), and my son hid his gum in between the couch cushions. That was the only casualty. Oh, there was also some sort of foot licking incident, but I was in the shower when that happened. But from what I gather, my son’s socks were missing and the 4 year old had one very wet sock? Let’s just say, little boys are not always the smartest decision makers.

So a bit about one of tonight’s features. We had a lot of newcomers, and one in particular was one of my favorite Instagrammers @meandering_mari. Her posts feature incredible artwork that she creates from plants and flower petals. If you don’t follow her on Instagram, you should. She blows my mind daily, and I’m honored she chose to link up at Found & Foraged.

If I had to pick a theme for tonight’s features, I guess it would be “painted whimsy”. The projects I chose were mostly hand painted fun. I have to say, each one of you shared amazing projects and made it really difficult to chose only a small handful. I’m so very thankful that you share your creativity with me, and I can’t wait to see what you bring to the table this evening. And with that, let’s get this party started, shall we?
