Today is not just Tuesday, it’s one of those super exciting, special days for me. Today I’m being interviewed on Chairish. They are asking me all sorts of questions about the items I purchased on one of their Chairish Instagram Sales and how I styled the pieces in my home. Woah! Slow down. How did this happen you ask? Well, here’s the back story, but be sure to hop on over to Chairish to read the interview and view all the styled items to get the real vintage fix. I swear, I’ve been so excited to show them off. So please, go check it out.
Back in January, you might remember I was talking about Alt Summit. And while Grace and I stood in line at the airport, waiting for a taxi to the hotel, a woman behind us asked if she could share a ride. (I want to say it’s because I looked like a fancy blogger, but it’s probably because she heard us say Grand America Hotel where all the bloggers were staying. I’m going with the whole fancy blogger bit for now.) Anyhoo, I wanted to say yes, but I glanced at my luggage and then at Grace’s, and then at hers, oh boy. We didn’t travel light that particular week. I said, “For sure! That is if we can all fit.” Yikes!
We managed to snag a minivan, and the three of us were off to the hotel. She politely asked us if we were bloggers and we gave her a, “Ya, how’d you guess”, kinda ho-hum reply. She laughed. Turned out she worked for Chairish – only like my favorite online shopping resource for vintage goods! OMG! I squealed on the inside but tried to remain calm on the outside.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve been trying up up my Instagram game. If you follow my feed, you’ll know I try to post something creative every morning. Definitely challenging and not the easiest thing to do. But I love getting my camera out on the daily and just shooting whatever inspires me. Be it store bought cookies on a plate or a new pair of kicks. It’s fun and creative. Why am I tell you this on Found & Foraged night? Well, a lot of you linked up your own Instagram posts last week! By the end of this post you’ll know everything you need to know about Instagram hashtag challenges and who to follow.
Before we get into it though, I always like to recap my week a bit. Let you know what I’ve been up to. Since I’ve been shopping for my master bedroom, I posted a few of my Wants + Wishes. If you want to see what I’ve been pining away for, check it out. And I also wrote my very first style post. It was so much fun and you guys gave me such wonderful feedback. I’m so grateful. Thank you for being kind…I’ll admit to being a bit nervous.
I also went to see Dear John Hughes last Thursday. If you’re in Chicago, I highly suggest buying tickets. It was such a fun show. Since John Hughes was so influential on my teen years, I’m actually thinking about posting a little bit more about it next week. I’m also still working on that “I Make Emily Henderson Cry” post. It’s going to be a good one. Promise.
One more thing, I know I asked if a Saturday night linky party worked in your schedules. Everyone who answered, answered yes! Majority rules, Saturday nights are here to stay baby! With that being said, Let’s see some features and link it up!

MORE FEATURES AFTER THE JUMP…
After uploading my latest shot to Instagram, it occurred to me that my readers may not follow me on IG. Therefore you guys may never see the photos I share on Instagram. If you do, I’m telling you right now, I forgive you for boring you with outdated material. Six months ago, a good portion of the photos I uploaded were from the blog and promoting certain posts. Since Thanksgiving, I’ve tried to curate my feed a bit more, not waste my reader’s time with silliness and be a bit more artistic with what I’m sharing.
I’m also one of three moderators for #foundforaged so I figured I best step it up! If you haven’t heard of this hashtag, please go check it out. It’s an absolutely beautiful board that I’m just so proud to be a part of. We welcome anyone to participate. Just tag anything you’ve found, foraged, DIYd, crafted, created, curbside picked, thrifted, estate saled…the possibilities are endless. The only thing we ask is that you put a bit of effort into the styling.

Hey, hey, hey you guys! (I’m suddenly feeling like Fat Albert here.) I’m back again to guest host another Thrift Score Thursday on Instagram. I really hope you brought your a-game and hashtagged all your thrifted treasures with #thriftscorethursday. Unlike last time, I was perfectly prepared, well prepared until my lovely ladies added in a twist. The gals want to add in a bit of a challenge (if you can handle it) called “Have Yourself A Merry Thrifted Christmas”. Yep, that’s right, if you’ve got a holiday thrifted item, photograph and hashtag that puppy up before December 18.
